Danish Athletics Federation

Danish Athletics Federation is the national federation for athletics, walking and running events. The federation was founded in 1907 and is situated in the house of sports (Idrættens Hus) in Brøndby. The Federation has 235 member associations, which all together have more than 40,000 members.

With a membership base spread across a range of activities from Olympic athletics to Nordic walking, Danish Athletics Federation covers more activities than any other sport in Denmark.


Sport Event Denmark

Sport Event Denmark's' aim is to attract, organise and develop large international spectator and participant events in order to:

• Help develop sport in Denmark
• Market Denmark internationally and get Denmark on the world map of sports
• Boost tourism in the cities that host the sport event

Previously Denmark has hosted the IOC Session & Olympic Congress 2009, UEFA Under-21 European Championship and UCI Road World Championships 2011 with fantastic success. Denmark will host the following great events within the next few years; Men’s European Handball Championship 2014, Badminton World Championship 2014 and World Half Marathon Championships 2014 which will include a large public recreational race.


Wonderful Copenhagen

Wonderful Copenhagen is the official convention, event and visitors bureau of the Greater Copenhagen area. Established in 1992 and has its roots back in 1887 when Copenhagen’s first tourist organisation was founded.

Today, Wonderful Copenhagen deals with all aspects of Copenhagen as a tourist, event and travel destination such as marketing, promotion, product development, public events, strategic planning, information, PR, brochures, statistics, analysis etc.
